A multicultural expat at heart, Waldemar holds deep financial and business expertise including the development and implementation of expansion strategies for government entities, industrial companies, banks, private equity firms, family-owned businesses, and large public-listed entities in Western, Central, and Central-Eastern Europe.
Specializing in M&A operations and local-market adaptation strategies, Waldemar is a matcher of value-based management with a holistic approach. He has served medium and large-scale businesses in Milan and Warsaw covering a broad range of industries from energy, oil and gas, food processing and production, healthcare, pharmaceutical, and hospitality. Waldemar is actively engaged in the PE and VC ecosystems in Europe and is deeply committed to building bridges between large business and the innovative solutions developed by some of the most budding startups in the region. He is a personal growth activist, contributing as an expert in the Warsaw-based Socio-Economical Enquiry Institute, and is a member of the Polish-Estonian Chamber of Commerce board.
Waldemar leads the regional branch of the Capital Group – the biggest multi-energy corporation in Central Europe – as their CEO in Estonia where he contributes at HQ level in the development of the operational plans of their strategy.
Waldemar is Pivots & Blocks’ connector, he assists clients in the identification and quantification of platforms of cooperation in various markets and niches, and assists with developing client capabilities in network building from evaluation processes, pricing models, developing platform strategies, and performance transformation.
Drawing on two decades of global expansion strategies and leadership experience, Mariella carries a mixed background that spans multiple industries ranging from media, industrial, retail, food service, and education services among others. A former CMO and Innovation Director in industrial companies, she is also the founder of a lifestyle magazine at the young age of 17. A designer at heart, Mariella holds a Masters in Packaging Engineering from the HDM University in Germany, and has pursued a doctorate in sustainability at the University of Wuppertal.
A former Assistant Professor, she supports and coaches entrepreneurs, chairmen and executives on balancing between personal and professional development. She works closely with startups, family-owned, and multinational companies on fast-track transformations, sustainability challenges, and organizational design and effectiveness.
