Mariella Jaeger is the founder of Pivots & Blocks, where she partners with organizations to navigate growth, transformation, and sustainability challenges through strategy design and execution. With over two decades of experience across international markets, she works at the intersection of business model innovation, go-to-market strategy, and organizational effectiveness. Her work often involves leveraging innovation and emerging technologies to unlock new value streams, modernize operations, and future-proof business models.
Her work spans a wide range of industries, including industrials, retail, food service, media, and education, helping both multinationals and emerging ventures build resilient, future-oriented businesses. She brings particular depth in supporting family-owned enterprises through generational transitions, organizational restructuring, and long-term value creation.
Mariella advises leadership teams on transformation strategy, post-acquisition integration, brand and communications architecture, packaging innovation, and embedding sustainability into core operations. Her approach combines commercial logic with design thinking to shape strategies that are both actionable and enduring.
Before establishing Pivots & Blocks, she held executive roles including Chief Marketing Officer and Innovation Director, leading multi-disciplinary teams through complex change. She holds a Master’s in Packaging Engineering from HDM University in Germany and pursued doctoral research in sustainability at the University of Wuppertal.
An early-stage founder and former Assistant Professor, Mariella integrates entrepreneurial perspective, academic rigor, and a systems mindset in her advisory work. She helps organizations move from reactive adaptation to deliberate, design-led transformation.
